Is there a reason the new Version 1.1 requires iPhone OS2.1. ? I Think not! Therefore only 2 stars. (will be more, wenn it is recompiled for OS 2.0

I am Industrial Designer and this small app. can be useful for a fast measurement outside of the office. But I tried the update and I had return for the original version (1.0). In the 1.1 version the calipers come crazy and uncontrollable, the priority is for the red lines. Four and half stars for the 1.0 version and only 2 stars for the 1.1 version due to the strange calipers behavior.
This is a great app. I have used it a few times and it seems to work very well. Clean simple and easy to use. Gives readout in inches and metric at the bottom so you dont have to count to know the distance. I have this one stashed on my practical tools page.
unless it also shows inches in imperial fractions i have very little use for it else... it is great
Works as advertised.
Downloaded 9/4/08 I work in the fastener industry. This will be really handy measuring parts when Im out at my customer and dont have my digital calipers with me. P.S. The spoilers who gave this one star just to be dinks should go finish puberty before they start badmouthing peoples products.
Does just what it says, great tool for anyone machinces small parts or hates carrying around their calipers to get a quick reference measurement. It would be nice if it had a button to place jaws together and reset origin/verify origin feature or calibration feature.
Not a bad app, get the job done, I wouldn’t use it at work but it works fine for hobby work. I wish the calipers "grip point" (where the jaws adhere to your fingers while moving) on the jaws where they jump to the point on your finger was farther from the jaw, or it slid on multiple finger points, I always find my finger running into what I’m measuring, or if I try to make a fine adjustment, the second I touch the screen the calipers jump to my finger.
Have you ever tried to measure with a real caliper? Many of you dont even know what the caliper is. This app is not replacement for your digital caliper. If you are an CNC operator you should know that iPhone is a phone! It works better than advertised and I would recomend it as a "must have" application. For those idiots who attacked the developer: It is free app, you dont like it, delete it!
thanks for this app
Has some bugs where the calipers can get stuck Otherwise not bad
I make handcrafted, beaded jewelry. I also sell semi-precious gemstones. I lost my metal calipers and needed to measure some stones. This works great. So if you dont need to measure something down to the hundred billionth trillionth this app is swell.
This app is no longer accurate on the iPhone 6 due to its larger display.
